Molise Cinema to host Iran’s ‘Solar Eclipse’

Molise Cinema Film Festival in Italy is slated to host Iranian short film ‘Solar Eclipse’.

Co-directed by Raha Amir-Fazli and Alireza Qasemi, the film will represent Iran at the 2021 edition of the event.

The short film’s synopsis reads, “Just a short time before solar eclipse, Saqi’s life goes through changes”.

The cast list of the short includes Khorshid Cheraghipour, Paniz Esmaeeli, Anita Baqeri, Faraz Modiri, and Peyman Naeemi.

The short flick has competed at the 30th Cote Court film festival in France.

“MoliseCinema intends to promote the latest and most innovative productions of Italian and international cinema, giving priority to young authors and new languages, with particular attention to short films and documentaries,” official website of the event reads.

The 19th edition of the event is scheduled for August 8-13, 2021.
